THE VERONICA ENSEMBLE
The Veronica Ensemble occupies a unique place within the Still Life collection. It is the only ensemble in the collection designed around the visible interplay of two exterior prints, bringing together the Strawberry Seed print and the Retro Stem print in a study of harmony, contrast, and visual rhythm.
Created from colors derived from the original pastel artwork that inspired Still Life, the ensemble explores how distinct patterns can coexist without competing. The Strawberry Seed print acts almost like texture from a distance, while the Retro Stem print introduces movement and energy through scale and repetition.
The design reflects a philosophy that has become central to House of Caswell: the belief that successful print mixing is not about exact matching, but about creating relationships between color, scale, rhythm, and emotion.
For founder Kaylie Caswell, prints began to feel less like decoration and more like a form of visual language. Some patterns act like melody, others become rhythm. Some create tension, while others create softness. The emotional atmosphere shifts depending on proportion, repetition, and contrast.
Designed to be worn together or styled apart, the Veronica Cargo Utility Top and Veronica Cargo Midi Skirt invite personal interpretation while remaining rooted in the collection's larger themes of memory, expression, and Artful Nostalgia.
